The Solki hotel is located right in the middle of the town of Sant’Antico, just a few meters away from both the town center and the marina. It is a new structure built in order to accomplish all the comfort and safety systems now available. The striking modern building fits in perfectly with the selection of green, orange and blue furnishings, following the most ancient traditions of the island.

The hotel comprise a conference room and an outdoor terrace with a breath-taking view of the sea. The twenty-one rooms (four singles, two disabled friendly, thirteen double and two suites) are all equipped with bathroom, telephone with direct dialing, mini bar, TV with satellite, air conditioning and a small safe box.

The deposit will be fully refund if the cancellation is made at least 15 days prior to arrival. It will be refund at 50% if the cancellation is made up to 7 days. Shorter notice will not qualify for a refund.

The Mediterranean island of Sant’Antioco, offers everything you could wish for a holiday. A place where you can still enjoy the rare beauty of nature and the simple pleasures of life.
As a matter of fact the island is the antithesis of that celebrity playground: a tranquil backwater, with two quaint ports, a smattering of ruins dating back to pre-Roman times, sweeping Mediterranean savannah, the region’s most unspoiled beaches, and little else.
Its spotty mobile phone coverage and absence of English — even the staff at the tourist information center in the main village, also named Sant’Antioco, could barely utter a word — impart a pleasant feeling of detachment from our increasingly interconnected, homogenized and globalized world.
Here you encounter among other things, wild, untamed countryside, spectacular salt flats dotted with flamingos, rare migratory and hunting birds and other wildlife, all set against a back drop of the colours of the surrounding emerald sea.
You can read the fascinating history of the island, in the stones of the Nuraghi, in the excavated antique ceramics and captivating jewellery of the Phoenicians. The island has been populated since prehistoric times, and, in the eighth century B.C., began to play a key role on Mediterranean trade routes developed by the Phoenicians. The Romans occupied the island in 238 B.C., and constructed temples, viaducts and an artificial isthmus linking Sant’Antioco — then called Sulci — to the mainland. Sant’Antioco reached its apogee in the early Christian era, when it became an Episcopal seat and a pilgrimage site for devotees of St. Antiochus, a Mauritanian-born Christian martyr who was condemned in the second century by the Romans to work the lead mines on the island that now bears his name, and who was executed in A.D. 127. The island was occupied by the French, then North African pirates landed on the coast in 1815 and massacred most of Sant’Antioco’s inhabitants. Depopulated, Sant’Antioco slipped into obscurity, enjoying a modest revival, based almost entirely on tourism, in the last few decades.
You can savor the authentic and genuine flavors of the island, noted for its abundance of fresh seafood, including delicacies such as La Bottarga, shellfish and many other found in the surrounding seas.
In contrast you can also taste the food of our pastoral traditions, such as, fresh ravioli filled with pecorino cheese, hand-made pastas, such as gnocchetti, and roast suckling pig, infused with the delicate scent of myrtle leaves, so typical of our cuisine.
